1. CLICK HERE to read my recent blog post “Cancer Be Gone Now”.
In it you will find a link to a most amazing documentary.
This video will give you hope that we can change the current treatment paradigm of “slash and burn” that is the norm in our conventional cancer treatment protocol.
If you are not currently aware of the collusion between our governments, the pharmaceutical companies, and physicians this will certainly enlighten you in a most compassionate way.
2. Action Step: Take FULL responsibility for your life
Many times I have heard, “I just don’t have time to eat better” or “I don’t have time to exercise” or “I hate exercising” or “I’m so stressed”.
Perhaps you have another excuse. You may blame someone else as the reason you don’t do something that you know is in your best interest. Think about it for a moment.
So what is the single most important thing you can do today that will improve your health? Then as the famous slogan says “Just Do It!”
It doesn’t have to be a big accomplishment. The point is to start and to remember that each new step is a new start until we have created a habit where we take the action unconsciously.
In psychological terms we move from unconscious to conscious incompetence, to conscious competence to unconscious competence.
At this stage we have integrated the action into our habitual patterns.
So be determined to just do it.
As Sri Chinmoy says, “Determination covers half the distance.” And I will add that when we accept Divine Grace which is constantly falling like the rain, we can cover the other half.
If we keep thinking ill of ourselves while beating ourselves up for failure, we will fail. I’ve proved this many times. How about you? Have you ever done this?
The most important thing for me today is that I decided I wanted to be happy all day—happy this morning for what I have and happy this evening with what I became today.
I know this is a tall order, but I have been working on it for some time and it’s amazing how much self transcendence I have achieved. I’m not quite there yet. In fact, I had a serious back slide last week.
But the most important aspect of creating new patterns is that we never give up. Also, that we realize that lasting change takes time and perseverance.
Think of a baby learning to walk. Does it ever give up until it has learned to walk? Absolutely not, so if you do give up from time to time, take a moment now to see what you roadblocks are.
By not taking full responsibility for our lives we give away our power to control our destiny. We hope that someone else will do the work for us and give us a quick fix.
We give away our power to parents, to colleagues, and to people we feel have authority over us, particularly doctors. If an authority figure tells us to do something, we often blindly do it feeling that they have the answers for us or that we don’t have any other choice.
Think back to the last time someone recommended you do or take something. Did you without question follow the suggestion or did you tell the person, “I will do some research on this and see if it makes sense to me”.
3. Inspirational Quotes on Courage
Fear of being diagnosed with a serious illness like cancer is a huge fear. But actually being courageous enough to face the fear and make sure we don’t succumb to that illness is one of our biggest challenges.
As The Mother of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram says, fear itself is a disease. “When fear comes, if one succeeds in putting upon it consciousness, knowledge, force, [and] light, one can cure it altogether.”
The only way to face our fears is with courage. So here is my favorite quote on courage.
“The courage of the vital
Is dynamism.
The courage of the mind
Is its acceptance
Of only pure thoughts.
The courage of the heart
Is its oneness with the vast.”
Sri Chinmoy
